This postgraduate module equips Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) trainees with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to plan and manage/lead eye-care-related programmes and to conduct eye-care-related research. Rooted in epidemiology and community eye health practice, it covers the common causes of blindness and visual impairment, control strategies for the major blinding diseases, the design of research studies, the design of eye health promotion interventions, and the planning, management and leadership of eye care programmes.
