Brief Description

The module aims at equipping students with understanding of quantitative methods for purposes of quantitative business appraisal in organizations in respect of costs and revenues as well as quantitative forecasting. The module prepares the learner to make analytical decisions with a greater quantitative than qualitative component in the business environment.

Features of the module
This module is a crosscutting module taught in all second years in all accounting and finance departments of undergraduate.
• It is taught in blended learning mode of delivery (Online and face to face).
• It helps to deal with ethical issues in business society.
• It is mainly theoretical in nature

Learning outcomes
Having successfully completed the module, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:

1. Fundamental concepts of corporate governance and nature of shareholder relations to the corporation
2. Demonstrate ability to think critically and analytically when solving problems in business situations
3. Employ effectively the principles of corporate governance and understanding of ethics to solve problems

4. Deal with different stakeholders of corporations
