This preclinical module is designed to introduce basic endodontic concepts to dental students The module consists of both theory and practical (preclinical) components. Students will gain knowledge of the fundamental concepts of routine endodontic therapy which will help them to know about the pulpal and periapical diseases, endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, performing routine endodontic therapy on extracted mature human permanent teeth so as to prepare you for future clinical modules in areas of endodontic aspects regarding case selection, assessing case difficulty and to provide routine endodontic therapy to patients in a clinical setting and make appropriate referrals.
