ETE3261 Image Processing
Semester II

This module provides the students with sound knowledge in the basic concepts of image processing. It covers concepts of visual information representation, image acquisition, low-level image processing and enhancement, feature extraction and image reproduction, image restoration and segmentation.

EP80662_Transmission and Distribution
Semester II

The aim of this module is to acquaint students with the various transmission and distribution processes employed in electrical power systems. Use the study to enhance the realization that electrical power systems are large systems, which integrate other branches of science and engineering like mechanical, chemical, civil, control systems. Also that, the understanding of each of these component parts makes for the smooth, efficient, and reliable operations of any power system.

EPE3264 Power Electronics
Semester II

Welcome to this module of Power Electronics. This module aims to equip the student with a basic understanding of modern power semiconductor devices. It is also intended for students who may want to work in environments where all aspects of the design, application and maintenance of power electronic converter circuits are envisaged. The course will familiarize students with the many diverse power semiconductor devices and their ancillary control circuits at both low and high power levels and prepare them with the requisite design and performance analysis skills for some of these circuits.

EP80663: Electrical Machines III
Semester II

Students shall understand the magnetic materials characteristics and the basic principles of magnetic, electric and thermal loadings, the relationship between the loadings, volume and torque production, the design of AC and DC windings for rotational machines. To determine the main dimensions of AC and DC machines and analyse the most commonly used special motors and to acquaint them with skills/techniques for motor selection. Explain name plate information and list factors that affect motor efficiency and choose the correct motor enclosure for an application.

ETE3264 Digital Signal Processing
Semester II

Welcome all to this module entitled DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING. The module aims to empower students with the skills of Analysis of Discrete-Time (DT) Signals,  Linear Shift-Invariant (LSI) Discrete-Time (DT) Systems, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Digital Filter Design and Multirate and Adaptive Digital Signal Processing.

EPE3261 Electrical Energy Utilization
Semester II

This module aims to acquaint students with the various illumination systems, materials, and laws governing illumination, teaching students to deal with the fundamentals of electrical Heating and Welding machines and the domestic use of electrical energy like refrigeration and Air-conditioning systems. It is intended to serve third-year students taking a one-semester course in energy utilization or electric power engineering by teaching them the energy requirements of an LV, MV industry and then the electrolytic Processes

ETE3263 Antenna and Propagation
Semester II

This course has 7 chapters: The first chapter helps students to understand the operation principle of antenna, the second and the third chapters help students to understand the parameters of antenna so that they can know which antenna is good  than the other. The remaining chapters talk about different types of antennas and wave propagation. The course normal concerns the physical part of telecommunication system because the electronic part concerns the transmitter and receiver.
