1. Purpose of unit
To equip the students with advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft office package/OpenOffice. You quickly and efficiently develop dynamic, professional-looking presentations and then deliver them to an audience.
You will learn how Excel organizes information on worksheets within workbooks, and how to make and format different types of cell entries, including labels and values. You’ll learn to organize worksheets and how to create and use cell ranges to save time. The tutorial moves on to the most powerful capabilities in Excel: the ability to use formulas and functions to perform simple calculations, sophisticated math. The tutorial closes out by showing you how to highlight your data visually, through charts.
2. The intended learning outcome
By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

Dear students this unit will be covered within two weeks, make sure you meet the deadline for each E-tivity within this unit, the deadline for each e-tivity will be indicate. you are required to work accordingly.Â
4. Learning resources
Different types of resources will be avail to you, such as: Videos, pdf files, interactive e-content, pages and link to websites, I will give clarifications so that you are able to go for research of more details. You are requested to read carefully instructions under each E-tivity.
5. Learning E-tivities
In this unit you will interact with forum discussions and quiz other practical work will be done during the face to face session, in addition the deadline for each E-tivity will be indicated.

The purpose of this e-tivity 2.1 is to allow you to understand the key elements of MS Word environment.

Create MS Word document and do the following:

Character font and size: Times New Roman, 15•Post you work on week 2 discussion board, comment on at least 2 works of your classmates; comment on other students’ work and improve your own work based on comments from peers. Send your work to the discussion board by Friday.
