CODEL1: Instructional Design and Online Course Development Using Moodle LMS

This module equips academic staff with the pedagogical knowledge and practical skills required to design, develop, and manage high-quality online and blended courses using the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS). It adopts an instructional design approach grounded in digital pedagogy, constructive alignment, and competency-based learning to ensure that teaching, learning activities, and assessments are meaningfully aligned with intended learning outcomes. Throughout the module, participants will progressively develop a complete Moodle course by planning its structure, creating engaging digital learning resources, designing interactive learning activities and assessments, managing student enrolment, integrating Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Creative Commons-licensed materials, and promoting academic integrity through Turnitin.
